Mask Making

During this TWO day workshop you will make your choice of a bird, dog, or cat mask. These masks are wearable even with glasses! The first workshop will be all about forming the base of your mask and creating a shape that’s just right for your face. You will leave your mask at the studio to dry and cure until the following week. The second class will be all about adding your own personality. Make a mask that resembles your own pet, or you as an animal!
All supplies needed to complete masks are included in the class fee.
About the instructor:
Nancy Johnson has a Bachelor’s degree in art and psychology minor and has for many years focused on clay sculpting, mask making, and photography. For twenty years, Nancy worked with both children and special needs adults in life skills, nursery, and youth to creatively express themselves. Nancy has experience in jewelry making, weaving, painting, photography and sculpture. Currently, Nancy has been focusing on mask making and photography and has won awards in sculpture, photography, and sculpture weaving.
